Episode 42 – Email Train

Dave was at E3 so prior to the events therein, the guys hastily cobbled together this all-email episode. Lots of advice for aspiring programmers, but also a fair share of random hijinks.

Episode 40 – Here’s the plan: There is no Plan.

Dave and Darryl divulge the Dark Future for Team GFB Radio (P.S. it’s not dark and will probably be awesome).

Also, apologies for the Dark Open, what with Dave talking about how he didn’t help that wounded stranger, dead Cypress trees, and the First 48, etc. I’m not sure what got into us.

But, lo! Triumph is at hand. After all that, the guys gush about Dave’s trip to watch F1 in Montreal, Darryl upgrading to First Class, Kingsman (as viewed for free from First Class), Hitman: Sniper, and mother-fucking Poutine!

Episode 39 – Clip Show

You never asked for it, but you’re getting it anyway!

Darryl and Dave got a curve ball thrown their way so in lieu of putting forth actual effort they slapped together a clip show! Did your favorite TeamGFBRadio moments make the cut? Find out!

Episode 38 – Team GFB on the street

It’s a all-new type of Team GFB Radio. If you love it, awesome! If you hate it, blame Darryl who abruptly left town without notice!

With Darryl gone, and a bunch of people hanging out in the studio and drinking some beer, I decided to walk around with the Zoom Recorder and try to get people to say things they would one day later regret (with zero success).

Episode 37 – Level 257

Another traditional show! What are the odds!

Dave went to Orlando and checked out an MLS match, Darryl caught Pac Man fever at Level 257, the guys eat Tater Tot Pizza and the Best Nachos Ever, Dave makes Darryl listen to the Now Weekly Team GFB Radio Destiny Minute, and Dave discovered the Greatest Podcast of All Time.

After consoling each other about not being the Greatest Podcast of All Time, Dave and Darryl round out the show with some emails.

Episode 36 – Getting Down In A Rental Car

It’s the episode you’ve all been waiting for, the one where the guys finally talk about sex in rental cars. Other topics include: Some highlights (lowlights?) from the BLLSL 2015, day drinking, and Broken Age VITA.

After that harrowing discussion, the guys dive into Ye Olde Mailbag and get into what people want to know in the streets.

Episode 35 – Enter the Keir

It’s another special edition of TeamGFB Radio, wherein Darryl and Dave get to know Keir Miron (@KeirMiron), a programmer on Darkest Dungeon at Red Hook Studios.

The guys talk with Keir about Darkest Dungeon–how they got the game started, funeded, and what their creative process is like, before meandering  into discussions about Burnout Paradise, how to get your PAX booth popping off, and the NBA Playoffs.

Episode 34 – Darryl’s Solo-cast

Due to an unfortunate turn of events, Darryl was faced with having to roll out his first solo-cast. But Fear not faithful listeners! Darryl pulls in friend of the show, programmer extraordinaire and Midway/Iron galaxy alum, Jeff Campen (@campn8r). This week Jeff sets the record straight on few things that Dave and Darryl have talked about in the past, Beta testing for Bungie (pre-Halo) and some interesting office decorating decisions that were made at the Midway offices. Next week we will return to our regular format.

Episode 33 – Location Test

This is, without a doubt, our favorite episode yet.

Dave sat down with legendary game designer Sal DiVita and went over his amazing career. For those unfamiliar, Sal helped invent the Action Sports genre with the team at Midway Games, creating NBA Jam and NFL Blitz, before moving onto Psi-Ops, TNA Impact! and many others. Sal talks about what it was like to work on Coin-Op hardware, what it’s like to be a perfectionist, and what he’s up to currently.
